Orlando Palominos is a partner in the firm's Litigation and Arbitration and Insolvency and Reorganization practices. He specializes in arbitration disputes, mainly in the construction field, as well as in controversies related to concessioned works. In the area of insolvency and reorganization, Mr. Palominos advises creditors and debtors, mainly in reorganization proceedings.

He has recently advised, among others, Sociedad Concesionaria Metropolitana de Salud, in its arbitration claim against Astaldi Sucursal Chile as a consequence of the early termination of the construction contract for the public fiscal work Hospital Félix Bulnes; as well as in the bankruptcy reorganization proceedings of Astaldi Sucursal Chile and NBI SpA Agencia en Chile, and a series of civil actions related to the construction of such project and disputes with the subcontractors thereof; Sociedad Concesionaria Nuevo Pudahuel, in its dispute against the Ministry of Public Works, due to differences in the formulas for calculating the concession income, as well as in various disputes with the State and other contractors and subcontractors; among other matters.

In insolvency mandates, he has advised different creditors in reorganization proceedings, including cross-border insolvency proceedings. In particular, Mr. Palominos has participated in the reorganization proceedings of Astaldi Sucursal Chile and NBI, Enjoy S.A. and Brotec Construcción SpA; as well as in the Chapter 11 recognition proceeding in Chile of Latam Airlines. Previously, Orlando Palominos served as an associate at Morales & Besa (2010-2022), Lembeye Abogados (2022) and as an international associate in the International Arbitration team at Kirkland & Ellis, New York (2016-2017).

Orlando is recognized as a "Rising Star" in Litigation and also in Arbitration by The Legal 500 (2021 to 2023); and in Insolvency & Reorganization by Best Lawyers (2020 to 2022).

Orlando has been a member of the Technical Table of the PPP Americas 2021 Project of the Inter- American Development Bank, and has participated in multiple events as a speaker on matters related to arbitration, construction and public-private partnerships.

Lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2009). He has a Master of Laws (LLM) at Columbia University (2016). Becas Chile and Fulbright scholarship for graduate studies.
